Barts

For the 2024/25 entry to Barts and The London School of Medicine and Dentistry's undergraduate Dentistry program, the following are the key entry requirements:

  1. A-Level Requirements: You need to achieve A*AA in your A-levels, including Biology or Chemistry, plus a second science subject (Chemistry, Biology, Physics, or Mathematics). The results must be obtained in one sitting over a study period of no longer than two years.

  2. GCSE Requirements: Applicants should have six GCSEs at grades 777666 or AAABBB, including Biology, Chemistry, English Language or Literature, and Mathematics. If you have a Science Double Award, it can substitute for separate science subjects.

  3. IB Requirements: An overall score of 37 points with 666 in Higher Level subjects, including Chemistry or Biology and one other science subject.

  4. UCAT: You need to score above the fourth decile (i.e., the bottom 40% of UCAT scores will not be considered). Applicants with SJT Band 4 will be automatically rejected.

  5. Work Experience: While specific work experience is not a strict requirement, having relevant dental work experience can be beneficial in demonstrating your motivation and understanding of a career in dentistry.

  6. Personal Statement: Although not formally scored, your personal statement should convey your interest in dentistry, relevant experiences, and personal qualities.
